Cranhill Development Trust would like to invite the community to join them for a walk of remembrance to celebrate the end of their Good Grief Festival - Celebrating Life and Death.
People will meet at the Edinburgh Road entrance to Cranhill Park on Friday 5 October at 4.45pm, walking with candlelit lanterns and tributes to honour and remember absent loved ones, towards the Cranhill Community Garden (a short walk away), laying tributes within a special installation in the gardens and enjoying a pot luck community meal together afterwards inside the Cranhill Development Trust.
Then to celebrate during To Absent Friends festival itself, the tributes will be taken down for a ceremonial burning, followed by another community meal.
This events are free and suitable for all ages. This is a family friendly event with activities provided. All faiths welcome.Friday 5 October 2018, 4.45pm & Friday 2 November, 5pm
