Good Grief – Part II

An Ian Smith installation re-mounted and updated by Angie Dight.

In 2003 Ian Smith made an exhibition entitled Good Grief. Angie plans to remake one element of this piece – an installation of lamp posts with luggage labels tied to them, on which are written dedications and descriptions of people she, and Ian, knew or admired who have died. The original luggage labels are lost; Angie will make the piece from scratch, using Ian’s idea, as a tribute to him and many others.

Viewers will be invited to reflect on their own experiences and to contribute their own dedications.
