Inverclyde tree for absent friends

Inverclyde Council will be taking part in the celebrations of the To Absent Friends initiative along with colleagues in other organisations across Inverclyde. To celebrate the lives of those we have loved and lost you are invited to complete a short note in memory of your loved one and tie it to the Tree for Absent Friends on Thursday the 3rd of November 2016 at 1pm in the Wellpark, Greenock. All of the notes will be gathered from across all Inverclyde events and burned with the ashes being scattered at the Tree for Absent Friends. This will become an annual event and the tree significant of this.

1pm, 3 November, the Wellpark, Greenock. For further information please contact Alison Bunce or Julie Kelly.

Please join us on the 3rd of November as the Provost helps to celebrate this initiative by tying the first note to the tree.

Notes can be written on the day or in advance. Blank notes will be available in the canteen area of the Municipal Buildings or from the reception desk in the Customer Contact Centre from Thursday the 27th of October or you may provide your own.
