‘It’s hard to accept that loved ones are gone’
Dorothy was adopted. She always felt like nobody wanted her but when she was 14 she met a boy – her husband Benjamin, they had 4 daughters and 1 son. He was a great singer and used to sing all the time, they were really close. He died at age 81 four years ago, she was very upset and it’s hard to accept that he has gone. He had a bad stomach and went into hospital on Monday and died on Thursday.
I loved her, I miss her
The way she walked
The way she talked
I love her I miss her
My husband Benny would blame himself for our poor Maureen’s ill-health.
I hope he knows I love him dearly,
Never to be blamed.
Both with the angels now,
Till death do us part.
My own will never be broke.
Dorothy's advice: ‘Don’t let anyone put you off something, fight for it.’
