To Absent Friends at HMP Edinburgh

Marie Curie staff and volunteers will be holding 2 To Absent Friends events at HMP Edinburgh this year. In small groups, attendees will be invited to share their story of someone who has died. Tea and coffee will be provided and a calligrapher will be at hand to write down the names of people who have died onto leaf shaped pieces of paper. These will then be placed on a memory tree and at the end will be handed back to people along with a handmade origami daffodil. This is the second year the event has been run at HMP Edinburgh and follows very positive feedback from those who attended in 2018.
