A cabaret with songs and stories about love, and loss of love (and cake crops up too). Performed by men of a certain age who prize the melodies and the pure poetry of the lyrics of the Gershwins, Mercer and Ellington and of songs sung by Fred Astaire and the like. The songs are interspersed with some stories relating to love, loss of love and, yes, cake. They have a long experience of all three and that gives the show some depth.
It is a gentle, humorous journey through these subjects with, they think, some of the most beautiful and moving lyrics ever written.
