Jessie Anderson. My Grandmother. I loved her so much, and I still do. She is an amazing person I will never, ever forget. She would wear an apron, or as I would call it, a permanent peenie.
She had dozens of things in the big pocket of the peenie. It was like a big pocket full of mysteries. It had sweeties, claes pegs and even drama. Bookie’s slips for betting on the horses. Pounds and 10 bob notes. She would send me up with the money to stand at the door of the bookies and ask a man to put it on.
My Grandmother, Jessie Anderson, is my hero and she will always be. I would go out and way beyond my limits to get tasks done for her. My Grandmother was a great person. Always smiling. Cheery and kind. So Jessie Anderson was my hero.
