Glasgow, RSNO Junior Chorus

Looks

You cannot judge by looks alone

Until what lies within has shown

Yet many spend a millenia of time

On their exterior looks and details so fine

Why we care? I do not know

Why is ugliness resembled as a crow?

The problem is that people judge

That is why we hold this grudge

People judge in different ways

The right way is expressed through their say

Yet in Snow White the evil step mother

Spent so much on the exterior the interior she didn't bother

Snow White is a timeless tale

That hopefully has a lesson that will prevail

The opposite we should do of what the stepmother done

Until the hearts of others we have won

The Day has Come

The day of death has come

Every one was there

His and her life has come to an end

All of the good times that we had

The time has come to dig the holy grave

Silence fell a pin the good lands

I asked my mum why them!

Count the bodies..........49...

Stars

The stars swathed in the blanket of the night sky,

Inter missive clouds on their course of flight

Yet this image of calm has become distorted

The artificial light has retorted

These objects of light I see are in emulation

Competing with each other to be the greater object of speculation

But as I look around the busy street

No ones eyes does the sky meet

All around are people searching a litten screen

Almost robotic, all expressionless to me

There are many buzzes, rings and tones of some electric device

In contrary to the soothing silence of the valhallan lights

As I gaze at these heavenly lights

I ask you too, to not be of spite

Share this gift of simple peace and joy

It can bring much more than some technology ploy

I believe in the balance of life

My life is equal to yours

Everybody shall experience some strife.

Cats land on all fours

I believe in the balance of life.

Is death really the end?

Or is it some new beginning?

Living life is where I tend

I believe in the balance of life.

Is death what I should fear?

Or in time a growing wish

The Holy Ghost I come to hear

I believe in the balance of life.

Would I be satisfied with a full and happy life?

Though we are condemned to always want

I could end it all with a knife

I believe in the balance of life.

One might experience intense happiness

Contradicts a depth of despair

Whatever happens all is fair

I believe in the balance of life.
